It has been awarded a $2.5 million grant through Connecticut’s Strategic Supply Chain Initiative. This initiative aims to enhance the state’s manufacturing capabilities and create new job opportunities.
A Strategic Investment in Local Manufacturing
The grant will enable Trumpf to expand its North American headquarters in Farmington, Connecticut, by adding a press-brake production line. This addition is set to enhance the company’s sheet-metal fabrication capabilities and support the growing demand for advanced manufacturing solutions. The new production line is expected to commence operations in the summer of 2026. In addition to the press-brake line, Trumpf plans to establish a new training center and expand its apprenticeship program, further investing in the local workforce.
Creating Jobs and Strengthening the Local Economy
With approximately 500 employees already based in Farmington, Trumpf’s expansion is poised to create over 60 new full-time jobs. The company is eligible for up to $373,000 in tax rebates through the JobsCT program, contingent upon meeting job creation targets. This initiative underscores the state’s commitment to fostering a robust manufacturing sector and providing sustainable employment opportunities for its residents.
